Jen- the Read Mountain Trailhead that I used is new. To get there, you take Huntridge (from Challenger/460) to Crumpacker Dr. Left onto Crumpacker and stay on it. You'll see a gravel road between 2 houses (less than a mile into Crumpacker), with a small sign directing you up to the trailhead. Not easy to find, but it's there. It's DEFINITELY hike-a-bike for a mile or two. But the upper trails were hella-fun for running!
Would probably make a good chicky hike when you guys want a break from all fat-wheel stuff.
