As the bruises age...

Bruises are a neat phenomenon. I think I'll study up and write a research paper on them. I'm becoming quite the expert on predicting the age of a bruise. I've seen a lot of bruises in my line of work, but today I'm sporting several - I think the total from Sunday is up to 9 now. I have round bruises, oblong bruises, bruises along a muscle, bruises over bone and bruises over joints. I feel like a big bruise. I guess if I didn't have gangly, long arms and legs I could keep them in check in the event of a crash. Anyway... the bruises are healing, my left elbow is itching like mad this morning (a good sign of healing abrasions and cut), and my neck and shoulder are feeling better. I can almost look over my right shoulder!!! Thank God for Icy Hot!!!
Meanwhile, what did I do last night??? Of course, I went for a bike ride. I really want to ride a bike everyday this week. Last night was a beautiful evening, so I left home at around 7:05 and was aiming for at least a one hour ride. I ended up with 16 miles and a little over an hour. I couldn't remember what time the sunset was to be and my stupid self wore my sunglasses. Remember I wear prescription sunglasses, so at one point on the shady road, I had them on the end of my nose looking over the top of them at the fuzzy world that lay ahead.

Anyway, gotta finish getting ready for work. :) Mountainbiking at the Cove tonight. Hopefully I'll stay upright.

Ahhh, stories of the bruised and battered. It wouldn't be a true race unless you wounded yourself, right? As for "Dony's" picture taking skills, I guess it is his style. He chops off my head, in my race he got a sliver of my tire instead of me....oh well.

it seems as I get older, my bruises take longer to heal. I don't wear skirts in the summertime b/c my legs are usually bruised & battered

aaaah the joys of riding
